My life's mission is to inspire action to address climate change, using my background as a writer and climate communicator with a focus on climate solutions, renewable energy and green building. If we are to keep our planet habitable, we have to take massive action and take it soon. My goal is to create a compelling vision of the new world we can build and tell the stories of the people who can get us there.
I trained in polar expeditions with the Royal Geographic Society, mountaineering with the National Outdoor Leadership School, and completed a graduate program in filmmaking with the Institute for Documentary Filmmaking at George Washington University and a semester of radio production at American University.
I studied economics as an undergraduate degree and have an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA, an MS in sustainable design from Catholic University of America, and am a LEED-AP.

Energy and climate solutions
In addition to writing, my career included time at companies including McKinsey & Company's energy and utilities practice, Macquarie Bank, and Enphase Energy. I am a cofounder of Enzinc, a revolutionary rechargeable zinc battery company. My clients have ranged from Fortune 500 companies to early stage startups.
